I'm Emily (the EM in empowering), I live in Rossendale with my husband, little girl and cat, Smudge, (who actually came with the house, but that's a story for another time!).

I have always been drawn to all things pregnancy and birth, very nearly dropping out of my Performing Arts degree to retrain as a Midwife almost 10 years ago now, but my 18 year old self wasn't quite brave enough to take the leap and then life happened. I travelled the world with my, now husband, and took a few years finding the path I wanted to be on. My husband and I got engaged in the summer of 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, and the following February found out we were having a baby! A very much wanted but surprising pregnancy, I was suddenly filled with a fear I hadn't ever expected to feel; I immersed myself in Hypnobirthing and empowering birth stories quickly going from utter terror to complete excitement when thinking about birth and with that, my passion for all things birth was reignited.

I knew I had to shout about Hypnobirthing to anyone who'd listen, and so a couple of years after having my little girl, I decided to take the plunge and train as a Hypnobirthing Instructor with the aim of transforming the narrative that birth is something to be feared. I love spreading the word that birth is transformative and empowering! 

 

Another huge part of what I do is creating connection in pregnancy and beyond. Pregnancy and Motherhood can be a lonely time,  so I put as much energy as I can into holding space for Mothers, by connecting them and building bonds through things like Pregnancy Relaxation courses, Pregnancy Retreats, Mothers Retreats and building that community & village we so desperately need.
